What was the cost of the very first airline ticket?

The first regularly scheduled airline was St. Petersbury – Tampa Airline. In 1914, pilot Tony Jannus flew one paying passenger, Abe Pheil, the former mayor of St. Petersbury, FL. The flight spanned 21 miles. The price of a one-way ticket on America’s first commercial- airline flight cost $5.
